Dear Guys,

I bought new Audi A6 premium package 2013, that doesn't come with Navigation. There is Navi button and when I press it odometer display says "This button is not under use". This car includes 2 SD slots, 1 CD slot and 6 CD changer in side bucket. Is it possible I could install NAVI package? I am desperate to use navigation.

Anything is possible if money is no object. New or added modules and recoding would be necessary which won't be inexpensive; I'm also not sure if the MMI screen would also need to be replaced (a bigger boatload of money). You might be better off (and save a boatload of money) using a portable Garmin nav when needed.

I just answered my own question by going to the configurator for India. It appears that you could have bought the same car with Navigation.

Audi has Indian maps too. How could I know that my current audi display could work with Navi? If not from where I could buy Audi OEM display with 3G high MMI? I am ready to spend money.

Start with your Audi dealer and see what they say.

I discussed with 3 Audi dealers in New Delhi (India), they refused to do so. Because India's Audi A6 comes in three variants:

1. A6 Premium 3.0 TDI (MINE) - WITHOUT NAVIGATION - $100,550
2. A6 Premium Plus 3.0 TDI - WITHOUT NAVIGATION - $113,560
3. A6 Technology 3.0 TDI - WITH NAVIGATION - $121,0755

I think they are not installing NAVI in other models as an addon because they are forcing people to buy technology pack. Though, navigation technology so far is not so expensive as AUDI pack is concerned. Is there any other place where I could get OEM NAVI?
