Instrument cluster lens swirls

Some have reported getting Audi to swap out the lens (or the whole instrument cluster, I'm not sure which) but the swirls came back, Like some other annoyances with the car, Audi isn't going to address it other than maybe using a different lens in later builds. It doesn't bother me anymore like other minor things that used to annoy me.

Yesterday my dealer installed a new instrument cluster to address the concerns I had regarding what appeared to be numerous scratches and swirls (I have posted here extensively regarding how this has bothered me). They replaced the entire cluster and I saw the new one with the lens covered in protective plastic before it was installed. They did a great job and my fears that the dash or other interior bits may be damaged or rattles introduced were unfounded.
They had to reprogram both keys and all the miles, etc. in the new cluster were reset.
In bright sum today at the angles that used to show the swirls there were none, although some “strands” were discernible in the material at certain sun angles, but nothing compared to the old cluster. I will closely monitor things, but hopefully it was a case of a defective or “not so good” bit of material, not a design flaw that will affect all C7 A6’s.
The loaner they gave me was a 2015 A4 Quattro with sport package. I found the sport seats not that comfortable (they pinched at the sides) and the ride was much too harsh for me. I was quite surprised that the car seemed less peppy than my heavier 2013 A6 2.0 Quattro. The loaner has a few more HP and the same 8-speed Tiptronic (it had 11,000 miles on it) but did not rev as freely as my car. I mentioned this to the service rep who said that is to be expected in an A4 since Audi tweaks the 2.0 4’s for the A6. He said not to quote him, but suggested there are differences between the 2.0 in the A4 and in the A6, beyond any year to year power plant upgrades. Curious.

This Korean company used to make film that heals and keeps finger prints from showing up on the screen. They made them for BMWs mostly 3 and 5 series. But not for Audi. Would be nice if they did. Pontree Co. Ltd. if the company.

Yeah, that would be great. Even my new cluster that has never been touched shows its innate texture in the right sunlight. It's got nothing to do with looking great 98% of the time when the cluster is shielded from the sun - only that 2% when the cluster gets a shot of near direct overhead really bright sun. A good cleaner or polish is not what this is about.
