Key FOB problem
I own a 2014 A6 TDI. Starting a little over a month ago, the doors on my car started to unlock without me first engaging the unlock button on the FOB. It seems to only happen when I am holding the FOB. I am pretty certain that I am not pressing the unlock button. I first noticed this happening about a month ago when I found my car unlocked in the morning. This has happened several times. I now garage my car and every couple of days, when I open the door from the house to the garage, the car lights are on. Initially I thought that I had forgotten to lock the car in the evening, but it was happening too often. About a week ago, I was walking in my living room with my keys in my hand and noticed the vehicle lights flash. I went outside and the vehicle was unlocked. I realized that I had locked the vehicle because the mirrors were folded. Then, last night and again this afternoon, when I was about 100 feet from the vehicle, I took my keys and FOB out of my pocket and I as soon as I did so, the vehicle lights flashed. When I got to the vehicle both times, it was unlocked. Assuming I am not inadvertently pressing the unlock button or the keys are not depressing the unlock button, has anyone experienced this with their car? I spoke with AUDI service and the advisor had not heard of this before.
