If the installer did not replace the windshield gel pack or do it properly, this could cause your issues. Been there, done that.

Similar problem happened to my previous 2012 A6. Had film installed on the windshield and they used generous amount of liquid and the liquid damaged both sensors. $150 does sound too much compared to what I paid...

Default Vag com

I post here, so i don't open a new thread for my specific lane asisst issue.

I am retrofitting the side assist and i would appreciate if someone who has lane assist + side assist + Acc give me a Vag scan dump.

Many thanks!

If you have Lane Assist or Active Lane Assist and your windscreen is replaced, the system must be re calibrated. When you change the windscreen even the slightest changes in pitch, yaw or roll of the camera will cause the system to throw a fit. It doesn't always, but most of the time it does. Especially if you replaced with a non-OE windscreen. I have not found any independent shops that will possess the equipment to do the calibration. It requires VAS6430 and the ODIS system (Or VAS-PC) and it's usually only the dealers that have these.
