Default Lane Departure Warning - how to identify

I'm looking to buy 2012 A6 (Canada) and I'm wondering if it's possible to identify if a car has Lane Departure Warning system (LDW) by looking at interior pictures. If not, then what would be other ways to identify it?
Also, as I'm only searching for cars with Adaptive Cruise Control, can it be that all cars with ACC automatically come with LDW? Or it's not necessarily?

Thank you!

Adaptive cruise does not mean lane departure. Two different systems even though they do share similar controllers.

For lane departure, AKA Active lane assist (ALA), look for button on end of the turn signal stalk. You can reference this thread for some general info.

Well, as I understand, Lane Departure Warning and Active Lane Assist are two different system.
LDW is supposed to just warn a driver via steering wheel shake.

You bring up a good point. steering wheel vibration by itself separately from lane assist is something I have not coded. I now wonder if the steering wheel vibration only.... can be obtained without needing to change stalk and different coding.

You don't identify what model/year car you have so I can't offer any further help.

Good luck.

between the mirror inside and the window there is a indicator light om the mirror housing

if the housing is all the same uniform color, then no ALA
if the housing has a clear plastic strip, that indicates it has the visual indicator. it is on both mirrors

The car is 2012 Audi A6

The indicator located on the mirror is part of Side Assist:

The system that I try to identify is actually called Lane Assist (not active)

The Canadian order guide from 2012 doesn't mention ALA, so it might not have been available like in the US where it was added in 2013.

Audi Lane Assist needs the turn signal stalk with the button and the camera but the camera is also used for ACC so the turn signal stalk is the best way to check if ALA is installed. My US 2012 A6 had ACC with the camera but not ALA.

My understanding is lane departure warning and active lane assist are parts of a single system (ALA) and not available separately. At least in North America.
