Default Lower MPG after oil change.

Right after the oil change I noticed that my mpg are lower than before.
I have 2.0 TFSI engine, When causing on the highway I was easily reaching over 30 now I have 27 mpg ... I did a complete break job back and front, all filters replaced, tire rotated with same normal tire pressure than before. Oil level in MMI Says OK any ideas guys ?

Maybe you are driving it just a teensy bit harder?
Also, make sure you are looking at short term not long term, to be sure you know what you are getting just now.

Did you change to a higher viscosity oil? Thicker oil will rob power and mpg.

It's either that or your brakes are dragging that would be doing it.

No matter how hard you try to reproduce driving conditions, gas mileage will vary from tankful to tankful - 10% either way is a small difference. Run a few tankfuls and moitor it over time. Also, don't depend on the DIS computer - it's always too aggressive - use actual miles driven divided by each amount of fuel filled at the pump.

First thing I would do is to check the tire air pressures.

Second thing would be to touch each of the wheels after a drive to see if one side is hotter than the other. The fronts always run hotter than the rears. Side to side should be around the same temperature unless you have pads dragging.
