Default Maps Update for SD

Hi. I have downloaded the latests Maps updates from MyAudi on to and SD Card. I have a 16 plate A6 Avant Quattro Black Edition (272). The update Maps option on the MMI has both SD cards 'greyed out' IE they cannot be selected to use the update files on the cards. The system can see the SD cards since they are in constant use for all my music, and the Media Centre actually shows the files but obviously can't do anything with them. Anyone know if there is a setting to enable the MMI to 'see' the SD card to update the files from?
Many thanks.

Did you actually download the update? The jnlp file from the website is just the downloader.

Yep, all thel files and sub directories. It's the fact that the MMI is for some reason unable to access either SD card.

I'd like to see a DIY step-by-step on updating the MMI.

Make sure you have a blank SD card before you copy the downloaded update. Another thought is the "update" is the same version that you already have on the MMI.

FAT32, 16G. You need 12.2G of space.

Thanks for the input guys.
- the installed maps are 2016, the downloaded ones are the next version
- the files are in the root of the SD card \Mib1 and \Mib2, but there is also a \music folder on the SD card
- formatted FAT32, but it is a 32BG card
- so I'll try a 16GB card with only the update files on it to see if that resolves the problem (it still seems strange the the MMI System can see and read the SD card for music files but cant 'see' it for the maps update).
I'll post my results and thanks again.
