Default A Mid-Winter's Day Dream

A great, mild day in Michigan to get out the hose and buckets! Never mind the background...we are a mixed marriage!

Great to get the salt and slush off, even in January!

Nice! I do this in my garage with 2 gallons of water and Optimum No Rinse just like the detailers. When it gets cold again, you can still do well inside without getting soap into the storm sewer either

So what's the bimmer like? Do you recommend as a second car for a manual tranny. Was thinking mustang 5.0gt manual as weekend car but do have the 2 series on my radar.

Come on up to Oakland County! No charge! I find this more productive and cost effective than therapy in the midst of the abominable season of winter!

The 2 series is outstandingly excellent from performance to quality. I drove the 2, 3, and 4 and only fell in love with the 2. (Must be M235i or 228i with Track Handling Package). Perhaps a realization of their need to get back to their brand roots after a generation of too-large, too-bloated cars. The 2 is probably their best overall vehicle now, and displaced the 3 on Car and Driver 10 Best list. Read Jalopnik and Consumer Reports for wide range of reviewers all agreeing! Briefly considered an S3, as rear doors are handy, but when I learned they were automatic only, that was the end of that...never drove one.

Sportstick, where are you? I'm in Farmington Hills. My 3.0T is pretty clean at the moment but if you need more therapy I'm happy to swing by .............LOL.

Best,
Jeff

Hey Jeff....

Actually nearby....just off Orchard Lake Road a bit north of you! We could take this to PM, but when the weather improves, if you want to meet up for a car wash day one weekend, shoot me a note!

Sportstick, I'll touch base with you when the weather improves. We can compare notes on a number of things Audi-related. I'll liberate the NSX and maybe we take it and the 2 series out for a run in the twisties -- thinking out Milford/GM proving ground direction.
