if I had a 993, I wouldn't let go of it neither LOL. The prices of these air cooled 911 are going up like crazy!!! My uncle sold his 993 (non S with a Tip) a few years ago for next to nothing....I would have picked it up if it wasn't a Tip.....But then he also offered me his 2002 996 Turbo with 30k miles for 40k in 2012, but I went out and bought the M6 instead.....

Yeah the prices are nuts for the 993's and have been for a bit, but it was always expected as the 993 is widely held as the best (and last) of the air-cooled P-cars. I bought mine in 2000 for 35k with 25k miles. It now has 130k miles and I can sell it for 40+K. Not many cars you can say that about!
Mines a black on black 96. Non "S".

Up to 85K miles on my 2012 3.0T Prestige. I took (european) delivery in November 2011. Which was tons of fun. The car is as solid as the day I took delivery. I had TSB's and the like fixed under warranty but no real mechanical failures. Now that it's out of warranty, when it's time to do normal wear and tear maintenance, I do +1 upgrades such as EBC Sport rotors and Red Stuff pads and K&N air filters and the like. I kept my 2.7T for 11 years. I expect I'll do 10+ on this car as well.

I picked up a White 2012 A6 P+, Sport package last week with 75k on the clock.
The first time I drove the car was leaving the dealership and driving it 660 miles to my buddies place in Oregon City only making two stops on the way. The third stint was over 6 hours long.
Absolutely love this car.
It replaced the Amulet S6 still in my Sig which finally died at 226k. I will miss the Avant.
