So that is different to the MMI Upgrade? My last MMI upgrade did improve the Bose stereo, but it is still not awesome.

I finally got around to getting my MMI software version updated a couple of weeks ago...

Updated from 487 to "the latest" which turned out to still be 715-2. I know people have mentioned 726, and my Q5 loaner had 733, but my SA said 715-2 is still the latest for retrofit. Said that Audi was supposed to provide dealers with a new version late last year but it's been delayed.

Over time here are some 715-2 benefits I've seen people mention in this thread, and I've also added my feedback on these since I've gotten 715-2:

1) Fixes problem of google maps not showing up in or after 2G regions? --> Yes, seems to be fixed - this was my main reason for getting the upgrade.
2) Street view on google maps? --> Yes, have that now, and it's pretty cool.
3) Improved Bose bass? --> Can't say that I notice any improvement. Some of my albums have great bass, and many don't.
4) Improved radio sound? --> I do notice that HD reception seems to be a little better.
5) Menus smoother, quicker --> Have never noticed a problem with this.
6) Bluetooth music info fixed --> I don't use bluetooth music often, so haven't tested this yet.
7) Worse Bluetooth phone on center spkr? --> No problem that I notice.
8) Resets vagcom to defaults? --> Haven't noticed any of my vagcom settings being undone.

I'll report back if I notice anything else...

Are you in North America or elsewhere? If in NA, check in the A6 C6 forum. If an A6 C7 in ROW, the updates being discussed here are for NA.

So what's the latest version, owners of 2012 A6 have? I have HN+R_US_AU_P0487 ? Am I behind..I did ask the advisor last time (couple of months back) if I have the latest version and he said yes. I'm suspecting that I'm not on the latest.

I just updated on my own with the disc I bought online from 487 to 715 in my A6 2012 Prestige, system sounds much better

i know this thread is old but i just registered to say thank you, just got my MMI updated by telling them about the popping and the bose stereo really is noticeably better.
