I like BlissHQ it can handle the resize automatically and it is aware of of the MMI size limitations. The MMI has a resolution limit as well as overall file size limit.

Anyone having this problem...overy once in a while the MMi indicates "not supported" for my ipod touch 4G. If I reboot the ipod, all is okay for a few days. Thanks

Interesting - which iOS version? I seem to have to pick either "Videos" or "Playlists" alternately to get videos to play off my iPhone4S (7.0.4) but it works.

I'm still stymied by the "AD" Lightning cable which *SHOULD* play videos, but won't with any of the 4 different Lightning devices I've now tried (all on 7.1.x). It only shows music, and no video directories at all.

The Lightning connector no longer includes the video pins.

Correct, and that's why the "AD" cable allegedly includes a video D/A in that huge dongle.

To be more precise, the Lightning connector does not include analog video which is the only audio/video format the Audi AMI connector can read. The Lightning connector does support digital video.

Unfortunately, either my AD cable is a dud, or I'm missing something pretty basic as I get video via the 30pin "R" red grommet cable and my 30 pin device, but the "AD" cable and Lightning devices only shows Music in the directory tree - vs "Music" and "Videos" in the 30-pin

I've not obtained or used the AD AMI cable, only seen reports of others who have been successful viewing video. Since you get video with the red grommet 30 pin cable, it can't be a video format/size issue. Perhaps you have a defective example which could explain why Audi delayed the AD cables for so many months. I do know that the "AC" version will only support audio and the two cables look the same except for the model number - are you positive yours is the AD version? If so, maybe it was mislabeled at the factory.

My iPod touch 4G is on IOS 6.1.6. Maybe once a week, i'll get the "not supported" message on my MMI screen. Restarting the iPod does the trick, but it's kind of annoying.

I had that issue occasionally until I updated to iOS 7. Hasn't happened since. If your Touch supports it, try updating.
