Nav Stuck in 'Night' display: 2015 A6 Prestige
Just got my new car last week and love it. But one thing that bothers me is that when I set the Nav to 'Automatic', it always displays in Night mode.
- that goes whether I use the standard maps or Google Maps
- Setting the maps manually to Day mode works fine
- Turning my headlights from Auto to Off activates day mode when the Nav is set to automatic
I have rebooted MMI just to see and same issue.
Anyone seeing the same issue and any idea how to fix?
Thanks

You say that turning headlights to manual from auto activates day mode on nav screen. This is normal behavior as I believe the nav day/night modes are linked to auto headlights. So if headlights are off, the nav will default to day mode. Are you saying that when headlights are in auto mode the nav will not go to night mode in auto screen mode when the lights go on?

I've also seen this. Most times (depending on the brightness of the sky) it'll eventually kick into day mode. Not sure where the sensor is that detects day/night. Is it the same one which is used to turn on the headlights in Auto mode (where I keep them all the time so far)? I would think so.

If the sensor that detects light is dirty or blocked, I would imagine it would take more sunlight to activate day mode. Unfortunately I have zero clue where this sensor would be located.
