Default NEED HELP NOW. Must buy Winter Rims and Snow Tires for 2013 with sport package!

Hello Guys,

I have long story about this, but I will spare you unnecessary details.

Here is the short version-

I need a snow tire and winter wheel package. I will be going up to MA for the holiday, where I will be utilizing a local tire shop.(I'll be storing my 20 inch OEM rims up there for the winter)

The shop owner seems to be having difficulty figuring out what will and will not fit my car, due to the calipers on my 2013 A6 prestige with Sport Package. He has gotten conflicting answers from his distributers.

I will be getting 18 inch rims, with 225/50/R18 snow tires.

when I mentioned tire rack the owner of the shop said that he doesn't trust tire rack and that he has had wheels not fit when dropped shipped to him. He's making me feel nervous about ordering from them, But I always considered tire rack to be an authority. He claims otherwise.

OK- So what fits? What is the Offset range that will fit my car with 18's and 225/50/r18? Can i just trust tire rack? I have to order ASAP!!!!
Or better yet, for those of you have the same setup as me, and have snow rims and tires, what do you run? Obviously then I will know it will fit my car without a problem.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!

I ordered mine from tire rack 225/50/18 mounted on 18x8 ASA GT5, those required centering rings, call tire rack and tell them you have a 2013 with sports suspension since there are 2 setups by audi which required a differnt set of center rings. Been very happy with the setup since 2013.

Tire Rack test fits everything they sell. I've purchased over 10 sets from them with no issues. Everything on their online fitment guide will work. For your tire/wheel size, offsets from +30 (wider stance) to +45 (tucked) will be fine.

Thanks guys! Went with the x ice xi3, and sport edition P3 silver off of tire rack. That should be safe for winter. 20 inch p zero summer tires- not so much. Haha.

The only wheel tire rack sells in 18" that does not require centering rings is the 18" Rial DH Silver Wheels. I confirmed this when them when I bought mine.

When I called tire rack, they only asked if the car was premium or prestige. They did not inquire about sport suspension or not, although I did volunteer that information. He didn't mention that the sport package made a difference, he said the motor made the difference, I.e. The 3.0 had bigger brakes. Now I'm nervous of figment/ center ring issues. Maybe I should call them first thing in the morning and confirm after you giving me that tidbit of information.

I have a 2012 A7 with the 20" sport suspension. I just bought a set of 17" snows from tire rack and they took three days to deliver. I test fit them on a front wheel today and they clear the calipers. I would have installed them but one locking lug bolt wouldn't budge when using a 500# impact wrench. I'm waiting for a call back from the seller before I break out the torch....
BTW - the tires have a $110 rebate.

Here's what I bought:
17x7.5 Rial Kodiak GRAPH SILVER $492.00

Required lugbolt for vehicle 20 In Stock N/C N/C

235/55R-17 Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT $520.80

The hub size on all A6s is 66.6 mm. Sport suspension makes no difference.

Thanks again NABS4.

Called tire rack again and they confirmed it will fit and reiterated that it WILL fit. I also ordered some tire totes and felts for ease of transport and protection. Nothing shipped yet so I was just able to add them. Awesome.
