New 2016 TDI Owner!
After a string of BMWs, made the move over to a TDI after my 2012 535xi lease came due. Haven't had enough seat time to fully compare the two models, but I'm going to really appreciate the fact that I won't have to fuel-up as often with the TDI.
It's a Tornado Gray w/ Black Prestige, 19" S line Sport, and Cold. Interestingly, it seems to have a forward-facing camera installed (pic #3, above the rain sensor), even though it's not equipped with Driver Assistance. Anyone know what it is used for?
Looking forward to learning from my fellow C7 owners!

Great looking ride! Welcome to TDI land. I have 33K+ miles on my 2014 A6 TDI and love it. Hope you do too. Can't help you explain the camera because i never figured out what all it's used for.

Doesn't do anything. I had the 2012 model with it and did nothing. Even my 2016 model has it and still nothing. Need the sensors where the fog lights would have been to do what it is suppose to do.

Among the many other things that you will enjoy with your A6 TDI, below are some of the things to look forward to:
...trip this evening
...reflects mileage since I purchased my 2014 A6 TDI about a year ago...this is my daily driver...about 50/50 city/highway to work and all city for routine trips

ADDENDUM: In my excitement to post images from last night's trip, I neglected to mention that the mileage computer is a bit biased (optomistic). Others on this forum have pointed this out. Realistically, when you calculate at the pump, you could expect ~ 30-32 on routine driving and ~ 40 on the highway. Also, as others have pointed out, there is much more to enjoy in this car than just the mileage.

Those are just great, great consumption figures!
While it seems most of you got the TDI due to your annual mileage, I'm actually a very low mileage driver, since I only use the car on the weekends and frequently stuck in serious NYC traffic. But for me, the range compared to my previous 535xi is truly wonderful... this TDI is a like a camel when it comes to range!!
The other aspect that swayed me to try diesel is the current gas prices. Given the current (low) gas prices, I think consumers may not be looking at TDIs as intently.... which helped me get the car at more of a discount than the equivalent 3.0T, effectively wiping out the diesel engine premium.
