Because the car takes 7.3 qts for the 3.0 and mine burns oil I just put in 8.0 qts when performing the oil change. In my car the MMI does show that the sump is overfilled and the level shown on the MMI screen is above the max line.

You should never knowingly overfill the oil. Best to siphon off the extra.

Snagit, I know you're not supposed to knowingly overfill but I've routinely overfilled my cars by 1/2 a quart without any issues for the past 10 years. On bobistheoilguy.com a lot of people do the same with no documented issues thus far.

Same question. Will my Audi dealer parts dept. have dip sticks for the C7s?

2.0 T: 06J115611E
3.0 T: 06E115611H
3.0 TDI: 059115 611AB

Just Google the correct one for availability and best price.

You intentionally over fill by .7 quarts and you are wondering why you are burning oil?
