Default P0018 - Check engine light

2012 Audi A6 3.0T:
Anyone have this CEL P0018 before?

Per VAG COM: Crankshaft Position Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 2 Sensor 'A'

I had the CAM sensor replaced but problem persists. Had the wiring checked and they tested out good as well. Last thing to check tomorrow is timing. Anyone run into this before?

Thanks

Quick update, problem still persists.

Replaced CAM sensor, removed and cleaned the Oil valve control, checked wiring for CAM sensor and oil valve control. Both checked out fine. Any ideas? Car starts up, may crank longer than normal but usually second or third turn of starter, idles low after warm up, drives fine. Some folks suggested that the variable cam gear might be not working or stuck. Any help appreciated.

Are you the guy with the blown engine? Is this the replacement from the A5?

Yes, the A6 originally had a hydro locked motor, I replaced the motor out of an S4 3.0T (CCB). Car runs good, just have this CEL throwing a P0018 code.

Found this link that talks about this code. Maybe this will help you solve your issue. P0018 Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2 Sensor A)

Thank you for sending that, i came accross that as well. Curious, do you have a VAG com and if you do, do you mind scanning a few blocks for me so I can compare to my values below?

Block ID
048 Ignition timing adjustment cylinder 1 6.5 Degrees
139 Camshaft adjustment; inlet phase; bank 1 -46.500
140 Camshaft adjustment; inlet phase; bank 2 -48.000
141 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 1/2; specified 127.875
142 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 1; actual 0.000
144 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 2; actual 1.125

Very specifically, I think my cam adjustment bank 2 might be out of spec based on the numbers above leading me to believe I may need to change out my cam adjuster.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Yes I have VAG COM and I will try and get you the data you requested. Not sure if my tune will cause any difference but just keep in mind that I am stage 2 tuned. Also this data is gathered with the engine running, correct?

Yes with engine on and at "warmed up" idle. The tune should not affect this reading since this is just at idle. Thank you so much.

My readings are as follows:

Block ID
048 Ignition timing adjustment cylinder 1 variable from 4-7 degrees
139 Camshaft adjustment; inlet phase; bank 1 -0.750 degrees
140 Camshaft adjustment; inlet phase; bank 2 -0.000 degrees
141 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 1/2; specified 127.875 degrees
142 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 1; actual 0.000
144 Camshaft adjustment; inlet; bank 2; actual 0.000

Hope this helps.

Thank you pulling that information. I fixed the problem, turns out the dealer I bought the motor from had started taking it apart for some reason. When I came along to buy a motor, they put parts back in haste. Luckily only the driver side intake came was messed with. When I finally put a timing tool on the car, it had bad timing on the driver side Bank 2. It was a PITA to fix but it is fixed now. Thank you again for your help.
