Default Pre-FL US 3.0TDI Exhaust and Intake Options?

After discovering yesterday just how bad my trade value has tanked, I have decided to mod as I will likely have to see out my entire lease unless Audi decides to treat us with the same respect as VW and buys back the car or a lawsuit is successful. However, I've never had much success in the year I've had mine finding an intake or exhaust. I've have modded the stock intake some, which has given just a little bit of turbo noise, but no noticeable performance. Has anyone found an aftermarket one that works or made one custom?

Exhaust-wise, I've found the Milltek one, but it seems to only be for non-AdBlue models which discounts the US. Their site also appears to be broken for me to ask about it. Are there any other options or DIY mods to open it up a bit?

Based on my limited research when I got my TDI, I do not believe the US market has too many aftermarket offerings mainly due to low volumes and the fact no one wants to dick with deleting the DPF system on a car with such a high price tag.

I think there are some K&N drop in filters you can get that are probably the best overall option for our engine, as the intake system is already pretty efficient. You can also get a tune - like the APR one - that brings horse power to ~309 and torque to 479 (which is one foot/pound less than the max the ZF transmission can handle).

I looked into the K&N, but their seems to be mixed results with it actually fitting the diesel so I've not sprung for it.

I've ordered the Chipwerke Pro, so that should add some fun I think, but I would like some more noise. Do you happen to know where the AdBlue actually injects into the exhaust? I got under the car yesterday but couldn't really see much as I couldn't jack it up at the time. If it's somewhere before the axle-back, I'll look into getting a custom setup for the rear cans.

Research on TDI Club indicates that Chipwerker is not a good solution for common rail engines (such as the ones we have); in fact someone posted how his Chipwerke appeared to cause some severe knocking/detonation - so I'd be cautious. A proper tune like APR or Malone is far more recommended.

As far as AdBlue goes - yes, it does really inject into the exhaust system and is a pain to refill because it flakes... so many flakes...

Interesting. I fitted it today and everything seems to be fine, but that's good to know.

Sucks about the exhaust. I really just want some turbo noise. I should have stuck with S models, but my two S4s (a 14 and a 15) were bad luck for me and I've always wanted a diesel.

If you want the diesel turbo noise, you'd need to drop the DPF and that's a huge no no (and a PITA).
