Pricing Guidance for '12 Prestige - None to be found?
Where do you guys get pricing for prestige models? NADA lists prestige, but doesn't have the Innovation package.. KBB and Edmunds dont' even have the Prestige listed.. how do you get a fair value of the options?
Can pickup a '12 Prestige, phantom black on nougat w/ash, innovation pkg. 37k, for just under $45k. really want sports and cold weather on that as well..
Thoughts on that price?

Thanks, just did that on KBB and the prices are still way off.. even for CPO they are 5-6k off what dealers are getting.. something is out of whack..

KBB may or may not reflect what dealer will charge. The initial asking price will always be a bit over what they would accept outside of exceptions like Carmax. They will charge based on what they expect to get for the car based upon supply and demand. They also are more likely to base cost on what it would go for at auction. You should have some room to negotiate since the cost for new did not increase much at all and interest rates are low which lowers demand a bit for used.

All of these online used car price guides are fine but any real price will be determined by what a dealer can actually get. Other than the usual benchmarks like model, options, mileage and condition, there's supply and demand, the dealer's actual cost and time in inventory which are all factors that determine how a dealer prices a used car and what they're willing to take.

Thanks everyone for the tips, i've got plenty of push to work w/the dealer on this car.. 37k miles is a bit higher than i wanted, but i bought my '07 at 36k and that worked out fine.. I can get over not having sport pkg, now i have to get over not having the cold weather... this is New England afterall..

Not sure about 2012, but for 2013, I believe that Cold Weather pkg is for heated back seats and steering wheel, and heated front seats are standard. Not sure what is most important for you.
