Purchasing 2012 A6
I put a deposit on this A6. It is $31900 with 16k miles. I actually was nervous because it seems too good a price. Dealer confirmed that it is non-smoker in excellent shape. Any thoughts. Am I making a good choice?

Prestige trim package? I'm no expert, but I believe you got a nice car for the money.
EDIT: DO NOT buy it "as is" make sure you get at least 1 year warranty on engine and drive train. Check for excessive engine oil consumption and let them know that you'll be bringing it back if it eats oil!

I appreciate the feedback. My cars have been Infiniti, Acura, and Buick (built in Germany) and this is my first true German car. I'm excited but also I tend to be overly cautious......Luckily it seems most used A6 were driven by older Exec types.

Being a 2012 with the 2.0 the car must be non-Quattro and have the CVT. Both are not the features most folks look for when buying an Audi and could be a factor in its value on the resale market. Not saying the car is bad, but most people looking for Audi’s have been trained to want Quattro’ it is my take that CVT equates to an economy “non-sporting” car to a lot of buyers. If it works for you and all the other stuff mentioned by the posters here check out, then I say good luck!

That seems like a great deal for 2.0T CVT. I was able to get $37k trade in on my 2013 A6 2.0T CVT with 19k miles and actually felt like I came out ahead against the dealer. They went on to list it as a CPO for approx. $40k.

I guess I need to put this link in my signature.
"Would I recommend purchasing a USED Audi to anyone? Not even my worst enemy. Get a new one with a full warranty. Buy an extended warranty on top of that."
