Question About "Parking system plus", Brake Hold, and Smartphones
The Audi USA online system showing the 2016 model and the 2015 brochure indicate the Premium Plus and Prestige models have "Parking system plus". No further description.
In Europe I believe this system has three features: recognizing a parallel parking space large enough for the car; steering the car into the parallel parking space; backing the car into a perpendicular parking space.
Does the US car have that feature now? The MB E-class and BMW 5-series RWD have it available optionally, however they don't auto park into a perpendicular space.
Also, has the brake hold feature been added to US models? On an MB an extra press of the brake pedal holds the car in place until the gas pedal is pressed. On BMW a console button activates automatically the car comes to a full stop. Audi's system works in a similar manner. However, in US Audis I've seen to date their is blank plastic filler where the button should be. It is right behind the parking brake button.
Is this now on the US A6?
Finally, the brochure talks about iPhone integration but never mentions Android. Is there also Android integration?
Thanks,
David

Parking System is only the sensors front and rear, Plus adds the camera, Park Assistant is what finds you a parking sport and then does all the steering work. Park Assist is not available not the US A6 though as far as I know.

There is no Android direct integration as such included with any Audi yet, only for an Apple device. Audi has announced Apple Car Play (a tighter integration than is currently) and Google Car for future implementation but no specifics yet as to when or which models will include them. Possibly MY2017.
Note that with an optional AMI USB cable (or using Bluetooth Audio), any phone can be played through the MMI but the phone will have to control song selection, etc.

Android devices should pair fine though via bluetooth handsfree (for phone and address book) and A2DP (for audio with tag info and prev/next support).
