Default salvaged 2013 a6 worth it?

Ok so I have the opportunity to buy a 2013 a6. 3.0t. The car was salvaged due to flooding and the engine is not currently running. I can get the car for 12k. Is it worth it? How much would a replacement engine cost?

walk away. Any kind of flood damage is going to result in electrical problems that you will never find an end to.

don't even think about as it's not worth risking your life to save a few bucks.

I agree with everyone else. Walk away from it.

Just in case you need some more advice from those of us who know,
Don't do it.
If you start adding up all the components that might be fried, you could easily end up with many, many thousands of doallars in repairs/replacements. The engine alone could be $15K-20K+.

I'll repeat one more time, Don't do it.

Yup. Car in a flood. Engine doesn't run. It's totaled. Meaning, the cost to fix would likely cost more than a pristine 2013 A6 with low mileage. A pass if there ever was one.

You might be able to get that much back in non-electrical parts. That would be the only thing I would consider buying that for.
