Thanks for the input, I printed out the shifting TSB which I will take with me. I'll ask the tech to drive it, it should be noticeable. The more I concentrate on the two issues I notice it at lower speeds which makes sense. The shifting is likely the 1/2/3 shifting the TSB describes. I've have ignition coils go bad producing a rough idle in the pig and in the A6 the rpm is rock solid at idle but maybe it is something to do with plugs or coils, feels similar to me. I assume motor/trans mounts would be covered under warranty but plugs coils not?
