Spotted A6 estate
Pre-facelift estate TDI with manufacturers plates, was driving (almost seemed like in convoy with the grey 3.0T in front). Spotted in San Mateo, CA. I know VAG has an office here in Belmont and it's probably one of the employees' company car. But.... maybe.. possibly... perhaps is Audi bringing it to the USA?? Wishful thinking, considering it's the pre-facelift so most likely they are not.. but.. they should! I'd buy one in an instant over the sedan. Who else?

How tantalizing...
I am a big Avant fan and would so have one if they were available. I was in in Bonn and Berlin last year for an extended research trip and I was gobsmacked by the number of gorgeous S-variants of the Avant on the roads. Perhaps the CAFE rule tightening in the United States will bring them back. The only real option right now in a full-size wagon is the Mercedes E-Class. However, the leases on the E63 are nothing short of insane as MB has the market cornered and can sell all they can get.
Oh well… hope springs eternal. I tried to like the Q5, but I kept it only about 14 months. It did everything it was supposed to do and was beautifully crafted, but it did not inspire me to drive. I keep test driving the SQ5 as a replacement for our S4, but it still leaves me a bit cold. It can't really go off-road (like a Grand Cherokee) and it can't really canyon carve (like a Macan, which has very little storage capacity). The Q5 does hold a lot of stuff - which I did appreciate. The dealer bought out my lease with glee and they quickly resold it as a CPO. I went to an A6 3.0T with a 19" SPort Package.
Happy Motoring

Unfortunately for the Avant fans, Audi is focusing on the SUV Q series for the NA markets. Highly unlikely to see one in the U.S. in the foreseeable future.

We have tons of them here in Sweden, they are more common than the sedan. I probably see around a 100 of them every day.
I personally like the RS6 even more than the standard A6. Do you guys get the RS6 in the US?
PS I still bought the sedan :P
