Steering Wheel

Um, I think it would be kind of tacky IMO - I doubt there are many Audi owners who have one. The last time I got one of those covers was in 1981 for my Toyota Celica. But hey, if you like it, go for one.
BTW, what don't you like about the wheel?

I think the previous owner used to put armor all on it and its not too grippy. Also, personally it feels a bit thin to me.

The best steering wheel cover that I know of is the WHEELSKINS cover. I installed one around ten years ago and it's still going strong. I ask for a couple of samples to check their colors against my interior. When I bought the cover I asked for two colors of thread to match my two color wheel cover. Here's a couple of shots - I used wire ties to hold the skin in place during stitching

You didn't say or post photo of what you have, But thus far I've seen a few options.
4-spoke heated wheel
3-spoke non-S-line wheel
3-Spoke S-line wheel
3-Spoke S-Line perforated leather wheel
3-Spoke Flat bottom perforated leather wheel
Just changed mine from standard 4 spoke to this....

Would you consider replacing the entire steering wheel itself?

Interesting thing to note, the non-perforated leather wheel feels better with more cushion to the grip.
I find that the sportier perforated leather wheel feels thinner to touch, and its like tighter wrapped wheel with bony hard feel. It's taking me some getting used to but not as bad when I use driving gloves.

I have a cover...A6 steering wheel is way too thin for me...
Make sure you buy the small size. The covers at parts store/walmart are too big. I believe A6 is about 14 in.
I think having a thicker steering wheel makes the steering feel "heavier" as well, which I prefer
