My 2016 A6 3.0T is having the front suspension rattle issue noted here. Was there a TSB to go along with the replacement of the LCA? Any help would be appreciated.

Rear suspension noise?
Mine was recently repaired for a similar issue. Definite rattle at slow speeds going over small bumps. I could swear the noise came from rear passenger side, but the repair was identical to post #67, and mine is a 2012.

The car actually feels better, more firm and handles speed bumps better.

I have the same noise when you go over the bumps - only in winter or cold weather.

Dealer took the front end to check and see what they could find, they found nothing and lubricated and redid everything.

From my experience with other cars its either strut mount bushings or control arm bushings as people have stated here.

When mine gets worse i will take it in and see if it gets replaced (bushings).

Just double checking, was this the repair you were mentioning?

Appears that I also have the same issue with my new (to me) 2013 Prestige. Was your repair done under warranty? I'm just a few K miles out of warranty and wondering how much it would cost to do the fix.

Here's a link about tightening up the strut tower brace to eliminate front end noises.

Mine was done because I have the Audi extended warranty with no deductible. The repair was around $2k if I remember correctly. I can double check when I get home.

Here's my breakdown according to the work order:

Replaced torn upper link bushings and lower guide links

Labor: $612.50
Wishbone 4G0-407-693-J - $600
Wishbone 4G0-407-694-J - $600
Rubb Mount 4H0-407-515-B - $33 x 4 = $132

Total - $1944.50

Thanks for the breakdown!

I'm thinking at that price, might be better to invest part of the cost into upgrading the crappy Bose subwoofer instead and drown out the noise.
