There has been no official info recently for upgrading the modem to 4G LTE for MY2012-2015. Since Audi is not known for offering upgrade paths like this (unless forced to as with T-Mobile abandoning the older 3G freq), I doubt they will. You never know though, someone may yet figure out how to do it themselves if money is no object or Audi may decide to break their mold and offer an upgrade.

You may have been joking with the question but it's been asked seriously before. So I answered for those that might really be wondering if it was possible. Actually, there was an Audi press release I read a year or so ago that indicated Audi would be offering an update to earlier models with 3G to LTE but nothing has come of it.

I have a '12 C7 with an active Audi Connect T-Mobile data plan and have received the letters from T-Mobile and AoA. Here in Southern California, T-Mobile upgraded their network on 22 July and I dropped from 3G to 2G. My dealer modified my C7 per TSB 2039515/4 yesterday and I'm now back to 3G. I can confirm that the mod also included updating the MMI to version 0814.

Other smaller markets are already affected; my T-Mobile 3G hotspot stopped working in Big Bear, CA sometime in the last week of June (T-Mobile graciously gave me a new, updated hotspot); my A6's T-Mobile also stopped working there at the same time.
