TDI Fuel additive?
I know of the AdBlue next to the fuel.. but I'm just wondering if anyone is using any additional additives vs what the dealer adds at certain service intervals.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I wouldn't mess with the VW/Audi AdBlue products. The TDI's are very sensitive to fuel quality changes, plus the AdBlue system can result in non-operation of the vehicle (ie it runs out)...so who knows what other features are built-in to protect it!

Diesel fuel has much better, natural lubrication properties than gasoline. Possibly the only additive to consider would be an anti-gel additive for bitterly cold weather. The most expensive additives are at local automotive shops while the best buys are by the gallon in the winter at truck stops. Only takes an ounce or two per fillup and worked well when I lived in Iowa for a while and winter temps reached -24F.
