I know we've got folks who are mad that ACC doesn't let a hill speed up the car, and folks who are mad that ACC does let the gas pedal speed up the car, so I wanted to chime in as someone who's happy with ACC.

I was pretty conflicted after hearing all the internet smack talk about ACC in general, but after the encouragement here and test-driving it, I decided to order it. I've found ACC to be awesome in stop-and-go traffic - which is about the only place I use it. So overall I'm quite happy with that purchase - thanks Audiworld

I too love the ACC in stop and go traffic but my only complaint is the slow follow acceleration. I know that we have discussed augmenting the system with the foot but 4 more lines of code could make this feature impressive.

Fully agree. All in all, its an impressive system, highly useful in the right situations. I assume the systems will only continue to improve over time, and newer versions will be superior to what we have today.

The only thing I'm missing in the US version of ACC is the auto resume after a brief full stop. Other than that I think it's one of the most useful options in the car and I wouldn't buy one without ACC anymore.

Got VCDS? There's an adaptation channel which suggests it can be enabled, but I've not had a chance to try it.

I have a VCDS but I haven't seen the coding yet, or better seen whether or not the coding will work on the US ACC. Can you post the coding or a link to it?

I've not seen anything published, but when I was going through the Adaptation Channels on the ACC I saw a couple about resuming with and without intervention and they were set to require intervention. Try flipping them and see if they work as expected - the behavior was pretty self-explanatory from the adaptation channel description IIRC.

As I said, it's on my todo list, but I've not gotten to it yet. I know snagitseven is *eagerly* awaiting this great labor-saver so maybe you will be the hero
