Audi U.S. March and YTD Sales Numbers
Here are the Audi U.S. sales figures by model/series for March. This is the 39th consecutive month Audi U.S. sales have increased year over year.
It appears that the A6/S6, and Q7 were the growth winners in Q1, with the usually robust YOY increase of the Q5 slowing a bit. It's also interesting to note the uncharacteristic YOY decline of the A4/S4 and A5/S5 - perhaps the series is finally getting a bit long in the tooth despite the MY2013 B8.5 refresh and with the success of the A6. The series could also lose some share going forward with the introduction of the new A3 this month with customers being pulled down from the B8 as well as up to the A6/S6. The drop in the A8 could be a result of potential buyers anticipating its refresh due this year.

I have to say I think the A3 is a better car that the CLA. I think they will sell like crazy.

I went to the A3 event last week at my dealer. I must say, I was actually impressed by the car on my very brief test drive. It handled surprisingly well on this test track in my area. I am considering it for a convertible in about 4 years when my IOU to my wife gets called in.
I think Audi has some staying power with the forward motion they clearly have in this segment. In my area the luxury car market keeps growing with more and more of the local population moving to these types of cars. If all the German companies can continue to bring out agressive cars at an aggressive price, the market will continue to shift to them.
