I believe the facelift 2016 model in Europe is referred to as a MY2017 in the US. The smart phone interface (CarPlay/AA) is an option here, although no doubt included in one of the US packs. This module has only just gone into production.

Amusing to see a couple of complaints in this thread about the MMI screen retracting. The amount of bitching in the B9 threads, and in many other forums, over the fixed screen just goes to show no matter what approach the manufacturer takes, there will always be complaints

Personally, I think the C7 model platform has been one of Audi's best, although I don't disagree with the OP's comment on steering feel. The tech side is getting a bit older, but is still competitive. The quality of materials and manufacturing inside and out remain unmatched in its segment. The C8 should be pretty impressive.

The MY2016 C7 in the US is a facelift model. The MY2017 should be out later this year and probably will have the same full MIB2 entertainment system as the 2017 B9 and Q7MKII with the full virtual cockpit.

Agreed. As a new owner of a 2013 A6 Prestige...a understand most of your complaints. One other...no compass! There is no compass to be found anywhere!!! Driving a 2016 today and there it is in the driver screen....a compass, ahhh. How nice to see what direction I'm heading!
Also, brake dust! Holy cow...really? I can't wait to change out these oem crappy pads!

Actually there is a compass. Just hit the steering wheel left hand right arrow button a few times and you should see it

yes, i know of that one....but i was hoping for a directional notification in plain site (like the 2016) without having to navigate to it by tabbing over...

- Doors are too light. I miss the reassuring heft of the C6 doors.
- Boss audio max. volume is a bit low. (Though it's clear)
- Leather seats are way flimsy vs. C6
- The MMI oil level meter is inaccurate
