Wut? I've never heard of this before and I've rotated (front-to-back only)tires on AWD cars for over 20yrs!

Sounds like weaseling from your tire shop....

Can you elaborate why you can't rotate front to back? I know the A6 doesn't have staggered sizes and I haven't heard it before.
Sorry for the confusion of my comment. For a moment I thought I was commenting on the Aston-Martin board. No warrantee issue with the A6, since they can be rotated no problem

Thanks for all the replies. More tire research is in the cards for me (it seems many say avoid the P zeros).

Any issues with non-oem tires when doing a lease return?

No, all they will check is Tread Depth. They could possible ding you if you go down in either speed or load rating, but most tire shops will not even allow you to do that for liability reasons.

Bottom line, you will be fine.

I don't understand this comment. The C7 comes with same size at all four corners (square setup) so why can't they be rotated front to back?

And if you meant to say side to side, it's not an issue with the PSS at least since they are not directional. They only indicate which side should be the "outside" so you can swap left/right.

As a data point, I got 14K out of my PSS with relatively aggressive daily driving (S6 is a little heavier). Here is my experience with the warranty:

See my comment 2-3 posts above, I apologized as follows:

"Sorry for the confusion of my comment. For a moment I thought I was commenting on the Aston-Martin board. No warrantee issue with the A6, since they can be rotated no problem."

Also look into Yokohama Advan S.4. Great all season tire with good tread wear and very quiet.

Thanks again for all the replies. I'm leaning towards the Continental Extreme Contact DWs (max performance summer tire--it may never rain again here in LA). There were a couple of generally positive mentions of Contis above. Anyone else have anything good or bad to say about the Continental brand or this tire in particular??

Thanks!!

I had the DW tires for two seasons and switched to the Super Sports. I have one season on the Super Sports so far and they are superior tire to the Contis.
