Yes, you do. All season includes temperature and not just precipitation. Michelin warns that their summer-only tires should be used above 45 degrees F, and that compound cracking may otherwise occur. As summer tire compounds reach the low 40s, they start to emulate hockey pucks for hardness and lose significant capability. Therefore, you should select among all season tires which optimize the characteristics you prioritize, performance or comfort. DWS06 seems to provide a good blend for an A6.

That's exactly right. I used summers in the city of Seoul for the first year of ownership and they were terrible on dry very cold weather. The city didn't get much snow so I thought they would be fine and it wasn't. When the temp was in the 10's I actually felt the car slide on smooth dry surfaces.
So I'll get my new DWS06s on this coming Wednesday and installed before my business trip to Toronto.

Just got my DWS06s installed this morning. Haven't had a chance to really drive it much. They look fantastic, though. How long is the break-in period on these guys?

And, general practice, don't turn the wheel when standing still...always at least let the car creep when turning.

There's nothing you have to do - the break-in period is short. Avoid racing and two-wheel high speed turns and you won't have to worry about it - just drive. It's not like bedding in new brakes.

Apples and oranges....those P7 are Grand Touring All Seasons, while DWS (and the new 06 variant) are Ultra High Performance All Season....depends if you want to "ride" or drive. Meanwhile, the old DWS is first in its category...and keep in mind, the numerical scores are not comparable between tire categories on the consumer survey...different samples with unknown inter-rater reliability.
