Whoa hadn't noticed that, not sure who's link that was but not working for me either. I might have it physically printed out... somewhere. It was a TSB for a software update only.

Thank you for that info, but those may be for a different issue. I could not call what we experience in any way "harsh". It's more of a fluttering, hesitating experience as the trans feels like it's tripping on itself as it tries to jam in too many awkward upshifts too soon after forward motion starts at partial throttle. It's done two or three upshifts by roughly 30mph, none of them smoothly, but, again, more stumbling than harsh.

Well, just got my answer from the dealer and they aren't going to do anything about it. Telling me it's documented and if something does happen in the future they will take card of it after warrantee is up. Even if I did believe that, I have grown to hate the way it shifts but love the way it drives. I am completely torn here but thinking I will end up trading it in a couple of months. As much as I love the drive, feel a little exposed here on such a huge potential issue looming over head that I will probably have to leave the Audi world.

May try AoA as last resort before giving up completely.

Did you check with your service rep to see if the 8K transmission software TSB had been applied?

O.K....got me interested. Drove the car today in some suburban stop/go traffic, lurching and surging much of the way. Any further reference material on this...TSB number, link to the content? Sorry if I missed this elsewhere already. Thanks in advance.

He says I am fully up to date on software. IS there something specific I should be asking?

OK, so been working with the dealer and AoA and still nothing. I am up to date on my firmware so at this time I am still in wait mode hoping for relief. If they can help in any way, I will be happy as I do like my A6 with this exception.
