Default V-1 Valentine

Hi Guys,
I did a little search and didn't find much about hardwiring in a V-1 into my wife's new ride. I picked her up a 2014 A6 with black optics.

Thanks,
Bob

I used the SAAVY OBD-2 method, then removed the driver's knee panel, routed the cord up under the dash, through/around this fuseblock and fished the cable into the A piller. Integrates nicely, is easily removed and didn't involve major panel removals or wire taps.

May want to consider that as easy option. Also fished the cable for the remote display at same time, it sits on ledge to right of instrument panel/left of MMI screen.

Thanks Sunny!! Easy and quick install! I used an open fuse spot lower but other than that works like a champ. I chose to use a constant hot so on stop and go it wouldn't restart my detector every time.

Thanks,
Bob

Are any of you getting FM radio interference? I think the antenna is routed around the front windshield and when I unplug my hardwired V-1 the interference goes away. I have it fuse tapped of an empty circuit in the drivers side fuse panel running up under a-pillar trim and then across the headliner to a blend-mount mirror mount...

Anyone getting anything similar? Or is my car just cursed?

Sh*t. I have no idea what's going on then. Where are you getting power from? Using OBD II SAVVY or what?

And does anyone know if the radio antenna is in the front windshield?
