Default vagcom limitation on 2016 a6 3.0?

Hi, I took my A6 to a local car shop and asked them to use Vagcom to default the auto-engine-shutoff setting to off. The guy with the Vagcom told me that he tried to do this but was unable to. Has anyone else here been able to successfully change this setting in their 2016 a6 3.0 with Vagcom?

Yikes. I was looking forward to doing this as well. Hope there's a good solution!

@ez - give it a shot and let me know how it works out for you. if it works for you then maybe I can update the software for my car or get the shop to update the software for its vagcom.

This Vag mod has worked for at least two owners of 2016 A6 that I've seen: (one said "a" and one said "B" worked)

Module Stg 09
Login 20113
Adaption channel 34 reading
a) worth of adaption channel 34 reduce by 4 (effected Bit 2 to 0) = SSA per default after each ignition on to off

or

b) add to worth of adaption channel 34 the worth 32 (effected Bit 5 to 1) = SSA with memory-function

It most certainly can be done, as we were among those who benefitted from advice here and had it modified successfully. Reading this may help. The only actual change made was changing the original value of "20" to "16", the difference of "4" mentioned above.

c) add to worth of adaption channel 34 the worth 64 (effected Bit 6 to 1) = SSA with inverted display

I chose Option A and it worked on my 2016 TDI. The Start/Stop is now defaulted Off and I can turn it on when I need it. Only problem is at night that orange light on the lower dash is awfully bright even with brightness turned all the way down, so I usually turn it back on(press button)

With an Exacto knife, trim/apply a very small piece of black electrical tape to fit over, and drive free of the horrid *** feature 24/7!

Sportstick, thank you! Honestly didn't even think of that. Going to do that right now.
