Even more appaling is that my inspection failed since he said my tires are worn out. After just 15,000 miles ??? These were the tires the new car came with. Have never had tires fail me in just 15,000 miles.[/QUOTE]

What brand tires?

If they were the Pirelli P-Zero summer tires, 15K miles useful tread life would not be highly unusual.

There appears to be a pattern here.

Yep. I was just outside a year and over 12k miles when my issue started. Thankfully my SA got it covered under warranty without even having to bother me. I thought I was the only one. It seems this rotor issue is more widespread. Thankfully I have the Conti tires. They have held up well.

Glad it worked out for you as well. I also have the Conti tires and they are performing well. I have 20K miles on them and they appear to be only about 10% worn. They are also wearing evenly as I am rotating them every 5K miles.

Audi America called me back and advised that they can not help, since my car was brought in for the 15k maintenance and the warranty for rotors is 12 months 12,000 miles. However they called the dealer and they gave me 10% off the work when I get it done. So I went from $900 to $810 to replace rotors and brake pads.

Now I am asking myself do I really want to put on the same factory rotors that lasted me 12 months back on the car? Seems like a silly question, but I am not sure what other options I have. Should I inquire on putting on S6's bigger rotors and brakes? Anybody have any thoughts on other options besides replacing rotors and brakes with the same factory stock parts? I really do not want to do this exercise again in another 12 months.

Rockauto has over a dozen listings in the high performance/heavy duty brake rotor section. Prices range from $65 to $132 for a pair. Ceramic pads are under $70.

For $200, you can change them your self. Check YouTube for video instructions or ask any kid with a Honda. Buy a can of paint and freshen the calipers while you're at it.

If you're not a DIYer, check your area for an indy shop that specializes in Audi/VW. The cost will probably be about 30-35% less than the dealer.

Default Audi A6 warped brake rotors 2014 Premium Plus

Mine started vibrating at speeds over 30 at about 19,000 miles. Dealer originally said they were out of warranty and new front rotors and pads would be around $900. Called Audi US and they told me to take it to the dealer and they would decide at that time whether they would pay for it. Picked it up yesterday for no charge-they replaced the rotors but not the pads which they said were fine. We will see how this works out after a few weeks.

Almost the exact same scenario as my car except now with new rotors my car is vibrating again at speeds over about 50. Car is going in again this week. Very aggravating.
