Warranty almost up!
Hi All,
It's been a while since I've tuned in to this forum. I hope all is well.
My Audi warranty is just about up. Does anything come to mind that you all think I should have dealt with on my 2012 3.0T A6 before the warranty expires?
Thanks,
Dave

Not sure if you can just have extra services not on maintenance schedule done under warranty but here's my suggestions for consideration.
Water pump if you haven't had it done. Mine started to leak at 65K
I think I remember having read post that the mirror joints need to be greased or something like that to help avoid them starting to seize... but not sure about that one.
Thermostat replacement. These can eventually seize and thought I read somewhere some Audi's came with bad t-stats from factory. Again not very sure so ask around.
Suspension wear if you can have that checked. Replace what you can now but not sure if that qualifies.
That's it... that's all I kinda know.
oh, forgot..
Have them update your MMI before you have to pay around 1K for this out of warranty.

Check the fuel filler flap releases properly. The locking/release mechanism can seize making it impossible to open, even with the emergency release toggle. Seems to be mainly on 2012 cars but yours must be on the cusp if it is an early 2013 car.

Keep in mind that unless a problem is present that can be verified by a service tech, Audi will not authorize preventative repairs under the warranty. The only exception to this would be if there is a safety recall or a TSB that is directed to be automatically performed per your VIN (i.e. transmission software update).
If your MMI software version is below 0814, dealers will not be reimbursed by AoA for an update under warranty unless you can demonstrate you have a problem that has been corrected by one of the later versions. Currently, the one that seems to work for warranty coverage is to tell the service advisor that your wife's Windows bluetooth phone is not connecting properly and you understand that MMI 0814 will resolve the issue. That would bring you up to date with the latest 3G+ MMI features and bug removals (MY2012-2015 for the U.S. A6).
