Well - that didn't take long. Looks like 3.0 TDIs are also affected by Dieselgate!

Seriously though, this diesel scandal stuff is getting too much for even me. I think with the 2016 3.0L A6's getting impacted, its just a matter of time before all of them are impacted.
We just need to accept it - shizz happens and unfortunately this shizz has affected us more than others. Look on the slightly bright side - we'll get some sort of "compensation"

I was just reading the EPA notice. They can deny it all they want but the evidence/proof is pretty damning. Here are the important bits highlighted:

I was at my dealer this afternoon and was told what Audi published. It's just over-reaching and definitely there's no way these cars were affected. It sure will help those people looking to pick up 3.0TDIs for a song, esp for a used/CPO.

Maybe true but there will likely be a hit down the road when traded or sold.

Hey, VW is giving an additional $2k rebate to current VW owners (gasoline or diesel) to stimulate sales and loyalty, though you can't buy a TDI and you may have difficulty trading a TDI in. Do you think Audi will do the same for us?

I actually wouldn't mind trading up to a 2016 A6 for the upgraded MMI system and the new 2.0T engine that gets 35 mpg hwy! with the FWD and 7-sp S-tronic.

By the way, does anyone know if this new 2.0T engine has both port and direct injection?

Yeah, makes sense if you want to keep it for a long time.

This just sucks. Ordered my A6 TDI June 3; arrived in Port of Long Beach on 10/22. Dealer told me car was released from port last Friday 10/30. Said it should arrive at dealer (Audi Beverly Hills) Saturday or today. Called dealer today; car is still at the port. Based on today's news, they don't know when it will be released; they don't even know if they will be allowed to sell it at all. Even though the car was manufactured week 37 (week of Sept 14--the week before the initial EPA announcement) it seems inconceivable that Audi was still cheating on emission control systems that late in the game. Like they had no inkling that the EPA was onto them until Sept 21 public news dump?

Wait for it..... class action sue city flood gates about to explode! Johnnie Cochran would have a field day with this if he was still around. Truly sad, indeed.
