Thanks for taking time to make a video and help us in the future.
Nicely done!
Is your car over 50k miles and out of warranty?

I am surprised to see these many wheel bearing issues at low mileage.

BTW, use this center cap removal tool not a screw driver which can scratch rims. I know it is hidden under the spare tire and a chore to get it.
That's why I have an extra one in my tool box along with a wheel lug guide stud to serve two Audis

Thanks for the tip... yeah, I never feel like going to the trunk for that tool.Maybe i'll order another one.
The car has low mileage but it was in an accident so there is a possibility that this got damaged then.

I use a scribe/oil seal pick. Removes the hub caps and can be used for many other things.

Same issue on my CPO 2012 A6 3.0T Quattro Prestige with 65,000 miles. I purchased the car at 59,000 miles and just figured it was the tires. I noticed the tread was stepped a little which I thought was due to Audi not recommmending side to side tire rotation. I rotated them in an X pattern. The sound didn't change. I think it has actually gotten a little worse since I purchased the car. I am taking in to Audi Tuesday the 9th.

Default Wheel bearing and hub

Where did you purchase the wheel bearing and hub as a unit?

Did you grab the torque specs from a service manual? Just wondering - I know these bolts are torque to yield and I'm worried. I'm about to embark on my first bearing job ever. Thank you for sharing the information!

Wheel bearings on my MY2014 3.0T went out at 24,000 miles 4 weeks after my warranty has expired. I was told it would cost $1,500-1,600 for both sides but should be covered by Audi due to a low mileage. To my and dealers surprise, Audi denied my claim. Dealer stepped up and covered the installation and I paid $300 for both bearings. I wrote a letter to Audi expressing my disappointment with the brand and how it was handled. Received a reply that it was a first issue with wheel bearings she experienced and, in the future, if more cases arise, they may issue a recall. Still cannot believe wheel bearing went out on Audi at 24,000 miles as my son’s MY2004 Accord has over 90,000 miles and original wheel bearings.
