Talked with someone at Tire Rack. They said they don't have any 18's that clear the front calipers on the S6. So they cheapest they can do shipped is $400 more than above. Maybe they will get some closeouts at some point.

I had 17" Sport Edition on my A4 S-line the last 3 winters and had no trouble. Many ski trips to VT and NYC potholes.

Will B8 A4 17" be able to fit my A6 over my stock brakes for a winter set of tires? Keep in mind I have just have a 2.0 TFSI setup.

The Tire Rack web site seems to proscribe 18x8 35 offset for 18" wheels for the B8 & C7 Audis. Better call them to confirm. The tire sidewall sizes are different though.

I ended up with 17" rims from an A6. No fitting issue.
I see on European Audi's that the stock tires are 225/55r17.
This will be my tire of choice.
