maintenance concerns
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, and somewhat new to modern Audis. My last one was a 5000CS QT, and since I have been bouncing between Subarus and Acuras; always AWD versions.
Anyway, I just got back from the Detroit auto show and really like the new A6 3.0T supercharged quattro (funny T-supercharged nomenclature btw). I am still very old school in that I like to do as many of the regular maintenance items myself and I am concerned that the new A6 - with all its sensor-this and sensor-that - will inhibit my fun in the garage.
What's everyone's experience with dealer costs? Is it still feasible to do common oil/fluid changes/flushes on such a wired-up car? I tend to put 100k miles in 4~5 yrs on my cars, and tend to change them at that cadence.
Thanks in advance!

If you're old school, you won't appreciate the high tech maintenance of most new cars. Aside from the oil changes and topping off the windshield washer, I don't know what else you would be able to do. Most cars today, have really long intervals for things like coolant flush, transmission oil, axles, etc. With new cars you are better off with a laptop than with a wrench. Sorry if this comes off harsh, but that's what it boils down to.
