2.7T allroad APB Throttle Body Reset?
Hi, I recently replaced my Pressure Control valve/breather hose system as I suffered a sudden leak and found the hose to be completely clogged. The oil leak was fixed but now my Allroad exhibits slow to sudden starts and the rpm needle is somewhat erratic and it just drives horribly. VCDS recommends a throttle body alignment after performing some maintenance items such as the throttle body being cleaned or replaced. Question is does anyone know if my replacement of the breather hose system including PVC warrant the TBA procedure? Thanks

Shouldn't hurt, but sounds like you have a vacuum leak. VCDS (vag-com) is the answer, but there are other methods that claim to do the same thing.
One is to hold the pedal to the floor while the ignition is on for 30 seconds, then turn off and release pedal.
The other is to just turn on the ignition, but not start and wait for 30 seconds and turn the ignition off.
I have VCDS, so I use that to run a throttle body adaptation and get a confirmation message. I have tried the second method on 04 4.2 v8 touareg and it seemed to work.
Whether those makeshift methods will work for you is uncertain, but you won't hurt anything by trying. Still think it's vacuum leak.
