Yeah I wish I had them too, when I was starting my troubleshooting. Created as I went. Bentley manual wasn't as helpfull as I hoped, as it did not mention anything about differences btween bank 1 & bank 2 intake sprockets.

Doing tensioner swap w/o engine @ TDC just makes it easier to mess things up. Engine should be @ TDC (FYI, that's cyl #3 compression stroke), align notches on cams to arrow marks on bearing caps, & have correct chain roller count between exhaust & intake. If you are replacing the tensioner, I suggest you double check the part number to confirm you have the correct side. Left & right look alike, fit-up alike...but are not alike!. Different part numbers, & they work differently.

+1

One pushes up and the other tensions down, both 22 degrees VVT. I've read someone used the Passenger side's cam chain tensioner from the V6 on a 1.8T with VVT disabled since both passenger side have part number -088 (For some reason the 058109088K for the 1.8T is more expansive to buy online).

Can 2.7T and 1.8T AWM Cam Chain Tensioners be Swapped?
