2.7T Lift
Hey I want to change the oil myself for my 2.7T what is the best homemade solution to jacking the car up to get underneath it. I figured I would try to figure it out before I keep going to jiffy lube. I am a larger fellow and I feel that jack stands aren't going to do the trick. Any suggestions?

solid ramps. I like Rhino ramps.
And fairly big oil catch pan - it holds > 6.5 qts as I recall
For other work a really solid floor jack (Harbor freeight sells a nice 3 ton low-profile steel jack for ~ $100 on sale) and either good jack stands or my preference, sets of 6x6 pressure treated lumber cut in 18" sections and stacked, placed on the 45 deg diagonal below the lift points or the subframe mounting locations.
