Default 2001 Audi A6 "POWER WINDOW ISSUE" HELP!

Hi, I have a 2001 Audi A6 and the power windows will not go up or down at all!, it should be something simple like a relay or the master window control, but I just started getting into Audi's so I figured asking you guys on here would be a better IDEA. I would like to think that someone else had this problem or knows someone that had this problem. can you tell me what to check for and where the part would be in the vehicle? thanks ahead of time, J

I'm not an Audi expert but I will the electric windows fuse first. I believe the fuses should be at the side of the dash...

Mine has a problem going up.. I think the mechanic said its a window regulator. It jams into the door and Audi's technology if it detects that it hit something say your hand gets caught it will go down automatically.

Default Two things for you to try:

First, please ease up on the caps. Yelling is rude.

Second, please try to post at the correct location within the thread. Try threaded view to see what a train wreck this thread is.

Thanks.

For your problem, is everything else working? Headlights, climate control etc? If so, check the fuse. If not, check the ignition switch or x-relay.

It's the window guides. Common issue. There is a TSB on this.

really window guides huh??????????

that is a coincidence, all "4" window's don't go up or down because of window guides!!!

you must spend alot of money fixing your car with that type of diagnosis!

it cannot be the window guides, window channels, fuses, or regulators!!

those have all been checked.

"IT HAS TO BE A MASTER CONTROL OR SOME TYPE OF MAIN RELAY"

**************Doe's "ANYONE" know where the master window control unit is located?*************

thank you
