Shift cable adjustment...
Just had the engine replaced in my 2004 2.7T Quattro a6. The shifter doesn't seem to be in alignment with the automatic transmission. When I place the car in drive, it wants to scoot past drive and engage sport. It seems like the shifter is off by about half a notch from the console. Wondering if the shift cable is simply not adjusted correctly after the swap and if this is a fairly straight forward repair as the repair shop is roughly (4) hours away.
