Default 2002 A6 ABS VCDS Codes Question

Hi all,

Having ABS issues.

I've driven for quite sometime without ABS ... both ESP (traction contrl) and ABS yellow dashboard light illuminated.

1. VCDS initially showed left rear speed sensor fault...I replaced it - didn't fix the problem.

2. VCDS then showed left front sensor fault...I replaced that too - didn't fix the problem.

3. I gave up thinking it was maybe the ABS module and I didn't have $$ or time to fix.

4. Finally, and starting today, the dashboard brake light started flashing. I checked the brake reservoir and it's full.

I jumped back into VCDS and here is what I am getting:

Code:
3 Faults Found:

00290 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Rear Left (G46)
30-00 - Open or Short to Plus
18265 - Load Signal
            P1857 - 35-10 - Error Message from ECU - Intermittent
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Left (G47)
30-00 - Open or Short to Plus
Any thoughts? Could it still be the module? How would you tackle this?

Thanks.

Contact Cars & Trucks | ModuleMaster. Explain the problem. They will likely know.
