2004 A6 2.7 s-line:need help with wheel spacer size
Ok, so I got a newer set of wheels: ALY58851 Audi A6 10 spoke wheel, Bolt Pattern: 112mm Offset: 48mm Audi Part Number: 4F0601025CP with tires 245/40 r 18 Conti's.
My OEM wheel was ET43, with 235/40R18 tires.
I Installed one wheel on the front and it is rubbing.
My question is what wheel spacer size I need:
- 5 mm the difference of offset, or
-10 mm too make up for the wider tire?
thanks

OEM is 235/45-17 i believe. Do the math on the radius. My guess is that the additional 10mm x 40% = 4mm wont make any difference, but you do need to check.
More importantly, do you knwo that the offset of the new wheels is correct? That's critical to both fitment and steering geometry.

The stock size for the S-Line is 235/40R18. I am running 225/45R18 for a bit smoother ride. I found some Nitto 235/40R18 that I am going to go with next though.
