ABS issue

ABS issue
During warm summer months when I am often sitting in traffic with the A/C on, the ABS light will come on. After this happens the car only seems to be able to be driven at slower speeds (does not accelerate normally). Is this a sign that my module needs to be rebuilt, or are we talking about another issue here. Car is a 2001 A6 2.7TQM.
