Default ECM Relay Symptoms - No Start HELP PLESE

When I turn the key the instrument cluster and electrical systems work and I can hear air compressor on my allroad.

I turn the key to crank the engine and the whole car shuts off including the instrument cluster. No power what so ever

I am reading 2.8 volts on several terminals under the knee bolster after this happens. ~12V prior to starting. I need to let the car sit for a while before power is restored.

Could this be the ECM relay?

I called several dealers and they say many different answers. Any ideas?

Default ECM Relay Symptoms - No Start HELP PLESE - FIXED

Battery cable was not tightened down on terminal. This caused an arc when trying to start. Dumb mistake but very pleased this was the problem!! Thanks
